Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are considered during the selection process.
Dr. Clark has established a distinguished career spanning nearly 40 years in administrative management and organizational support. Currently, as an administrative management specialist at the Chippewa National Forest, United States Department of Agriculture—a role he began in 2024—he provides direct support to the forest supervisor and deputy forest supervisor. Specifically, his responsibilities include managing employee onboarding systems and identification card issuance; serving as the key control officer, overseeing key distribution; and supervising vehicle assignment and checkout procedures.
Prior to this role, Dr. Clark served as executive assistant at the Chippewa National Forest from 2013 to 2024. In this position, he was instrumental in supporting senior leadership by handling complex administrative functions, ensuring seamless operations across the organization. His ability to foster relationships across diverse backgrounds was particularly evident during this period, as he consistently bridged gaps between individuals of different cultures, nationalities, and ethnicities — an achievement that stands as a hallmark of his professional journey.
From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Clark served as a Community and Family Program Assistant with the Department of Defense. In this capacity, he provided vital administrative support to Army Community Service programs, helping military families navigate challenges and access essential resources. His commitment to uniting people from various backgrounds was reflected in his work with military communities, where he played a pivotal role in building cross-cultural understanding.
Dr. Clark’s earlier career includes over two decades of service with the United States Army. From 1986 to 2008, he served as a logistics noncommissioned officer, managing operations critical to mission success. His tenure also included service as an administrative management specialist in the Army Reserve from
1981 to 1986, where he developed foundational expertise in organizational support and administration.
Throughout his career, Dr. Clark has been recognized for building meaningful relationships across cultural divides. As an African American who has often been the only person of his race in key roles, he has championed diversity and launched initiatives to foster inclusivity. As volunteer chair of the Cass Lake Area Food Shelf, he forged new partnerships within the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe reservation, expanded services, and increased cross-community outreach.
Dr. Clark earned a PhD in theology from Ascend Christian University in 2025 and an MA from the Theological Institute of Florida in 2022. His studies inform his leadership and community work, grounding him in faith-based principles.

Her example of perseverance and hard work inspired Dr. Clark and his siblings to pursue excellence in their respective fields, reinforcing the importance of determination and resilience throughout their lives.
After completing 23 years of military service as an administrative management specialist and logistician, Dr. Clark transitioned into civilian roles, initially continuing his focus on administrative leadership and organizational support. Building on his experience with the Department of Defense, he moved into his current tenure with the United States Department of Agriculture at the Chippewa National Forest.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Clark is actively involved in civic organizations, including Gideons International, and serves as chair of the Cass Lake Area Food Shelf board. His service is reflected in recognition such as the Defense Meritorious Service Medal from the United States Army in 1988 and a Youth Coaching Award from Army Community Services.
Dr. Clark is also an accomplished author whose works include “My Journey in Grace”, “My Journey in Grace: A Brand New Story,” “Inspired Within,” “Are You Afraid to Step off the Boat?” and “My Journey in Grace: Stretched by Faith.” Through these publications, he explores themes of faith, resilience, and second chances, mirroring his lifelong commitment to inspiring others through lived experience.
Outside his professional pursuits, Dr. Clark enjoys writing, speaking engagements, and running. He is dedicated to expanding his reach as an author and speaker with the goal of inspiring individuals to live fully rather than merely exist. Additionally, Dr. Clark seeks opportunities to travel more extensively and speak at larger venues so that he may positively impact more lives by encouraging people not to give up during difficult times and emphasizing the importance of living meaningfully.
I humbly surrender my life to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge that Jesus, in His infinite mercy, came to us not because we deserved it, but to offer us another chance at eternal life that we could never earn on our own. I bow before the lessons He taught us while here, submitting my will to embrace, follow, and live according to His teachings rather than my own understanding. I gratefully accept that He alone sealed my soul into a place of eternal salvation through His sacrificial death on the cross, His victorious conquest over hell, His glorious resurrection, and His ascension into Heaven—accomplishments I could never achieve myself. I wait in humble obedience for the appointed time when He will return to claim all of us who have surrendered ourselves completely, confessing Him as our Lord and Savior and yielding every part of our lives to His sovereign authority.
I treasure the gift of integrity, striving to display it with all my heart. Integrity, to me, is like a warm umbrella sheltering all other values beneath its loving protection. I cherish practicing honesty, holding strong moral principles close, and living an upright life that honors God and brings light to those around me.
I believe in having courage, especially when my heart trembles with fear—because my deep love for people compels me to stand for what’s right, no matter how difficult. Even when afraid, I must stand, knowing that love is always worth defending.
I wholeheartedly embrace empathy, holding space in my heart for every person’s journey, because we all stumble and make mistakes. We all deserve those precious second chances—the same tender mercies God extends to us every time we stray and find our way back to His loving arms!
I believe in respecting others with genuine warmth. It has never been about titles or positions, but about recognizing the beautiful dignity in each human being—every single soul matters deeply.
I believe in inclusion with my whole heart, because God’s love knows no boundaries. When the world went astray, God didn’t just think about the Jews—His heart overflowed with love for the Gentiles too. He included me in His family, wrapping me in His embrace, so how could I ever close my heart to others? These are my cherished values, and they fill my life with purpose and joy.
There are two gifts God has
given to everyone without
any requirements from us.
It is “Grace” and “Mercy!”
Since they are something
that we don’t have to work
for, we give very little thought
to either of them.
God’s mercy and His grace exist all around us, every
day!

The love a person receives from his wife and children is unparalleled—a gift that transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary blessings. When a father and husband experiences this love, it ignites a fire in his soul that never wants to dim. This profound bond reminds us that we are never alone, that we are worthy of devotion, and that every day is an opportunity to cherish those who matter most. I thank God for my family’s unconditional love, a treasure that inspires me to be the best version of myself and to love them with equal depth and devotion!

When friends and leaders see something greater in you than you see in yourself, it’s a powerful reminder that your potential knows no bounds. Their belief becomes a mirror reflecting the strength, talent, and purpose you’ve yet to fully embrace. This gift of recognition doesn’t just encourage—it ignites a fire within, pushing you to shatter expectations, defy limitations, and rise to heights you never imagined possible. Let their vision of you become the catalyst for your transformation, inspiring you to not only meet expectations but to exceed them in ways that leave a lasting legacy!

There is nothing more sacred, nothing more powerful, than giving God the praise He is due. My heart overflows with gratitude for every mountain He has helped me climb, every valley He has walked me through, every battle He has won on my behalf. The chapter of my life that could have ended in defeat has instead been rewritten by His grace into a testimony of triumph. Where others saw an ending, God declared a new beginning. Where circumstances whispered “impossible,” His voice thundered “I AM POSSIBLE.” Every breath I take, every victory I claim, every dream I pursue stands as a monument to His faithfulness. To Him—and Him alone—be all the glory, honor, and praise, now and forevermore!

Advanced studies in religion and theology empowered me with valuable research skills that have directly shaped my thoughtful and impactful ministry. This preparation enables me to lead programs that generate meaningful change within communities. By deepening my grasp of core messages, I approach diverse interpretations with confidence and rigor. I now employ various methods to craft effective Bible lessons, enhancing my ability to inspire and guide others in their learning. This experience has given me a robust understanding of the Bible and a foundation for continual, transformative success in ministry.

While many people have a tendency to criticize others for their achievements in education, my heart overflows with profound gratitude to God for blessing me with this extraordinary opportunity. Though I didn’t come from a wealthy family, I am deeply thankful for the infinite richness of God’s provision, grace, and favor that enabled me to achieve one of the highest levels of education possible.
